"My wife and I plus five kids and two spouses spent five great days in Casa Sandcastle over Christmas, 2007. We had a wonderful time. We arrived as the sun was setting over the Pacific.  I unlocked the door and went thru the house as the others walked around the outside of the house staring out into the sunset in awe.  It was immediately rewarding to observe them so mesmerized by the brilliant orange and red of the sunset over the waves and commenting what a great house we got this year. We played board games, treasure hunted on the beach, went jogging, ate lobster, shopped in the villages, cooked steaks on the grill, visited Fox Studios, etc. It was a complete success all around.  The house, the landscape, the ocean, the service.

The real measure of a rental occurs with how they handle "issues".  The hot water heater was broken.  A big issue.  We called the maintenance guy Bill who lived nearby.  He came and tore apart the heater, bought parts in the hardware store and repaired it within a few hours, saving the day - all on Christmas Eve. We only get together as a family once a year anymore and so a lot rides on our annual vacation.

Thank you to Mary, Gary and Bill for a most rewarding family vacation. For a balanced review I would note that the water pressure is low in this part of Mexico.  Bring bottled water to drink.  We needed to use the fireplace for heat during the cold nights.  Would be better if there was a space heater in each bedroom.  Brian and Stania and family."
